ASTHO Releases New Profile of State and Territorial Public Health
The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) has released Volume Four of the Profile of State and Territorial Public Health, a comprehensive report that aims to define the scope of state and territorial public health services, identify variations in practice among public health agencies, and contribute to developing best practices in governmental public health. The report reveals important trends, challenges, and developments across public health agencies in the states, US territories, and freely associated states, including a decreasing public health workforce, prioritization of chronic disease, and increased resource sharing.
