Increasing Access to Contraception in the Context of Zika Preparedness: Perspectives from State and Local Public Health Agencies
The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs published an issue brief about state-implemented approaches to increasing access to the full range of contraceptive methods in the context of Zika preparedness. The issue brief shares state and local public health agencies’ strategies to form partnerships among private and public insurers, remove logistic and administrative barriers for contraceptive services and supplies, and train healthcare providers on contraceptive methods, such as long-lasting reversible contraception.
