Tribal Legal Preparedness Project
As sovereign entities, tribal governments have the authority to create their own laws and take steps to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. Since 2016, the Tribal Legal Preparedness Project, led by the Center for Public Health Practice at the University of Pittsburgh, has engaged tribal nations around the country to enhance and expand their tribal legal preparedness capacity. Visit their website for access to training modules, a resource library, and more.
