Naloxone Administration Frequency During Emergency Medical Service Events - United States, 2012-2016
From 2012 to 2016, the rate of naloxone administration in emergency medical service (EMS) events increased by 75%. A new MMWR report concludes that EMS data regarding naloxone administration provides a more complete evaluation of the potential injury burden and a means of benchmarking for communities and EMS agencies to better address the evolving opioid epidemic.
