ARNOLD F. SOCK, Attorney At Law Opines On: Alleged Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc.. Betrayer's Boss Testifies He Was 'Concerned'
A key witness in the U.S. government's case against Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. manager Gary Tanner (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate judge case number: 1:17-cr-00061),.who is accused of scheming to have his employer acquire mail-order pharmacy Philidor Rx Services LLC in exchange for a $9,700,000 million kickback, told a New York federal jury Monday that he was "concerned" by how close Tanner was with Philidor and what Tanner was doing there.
Laizer Kornwasser, a member of Valeant’s executive ranks who oversaw Tanner’s work, told jurors he was wary of the apparent lack of independence.
Well we now how this case turned out. Getting a kickback to take some action is clearly improper. Being paid a fee or a commission the is disclosed and does not violate any laws, rules, or regulations is an entirely different story.
