ARNOLD F. SOCK, Attorney At Law Opines On: The U.S. Government Seeks To Challenge the President's '2-For-1' Order
The federal government has told a D.C. district court that public interest groups have again failed to show that they properly brought suit against President Donald Trump's executive order that said for every new regulation, two have to be repealed, arguing that the groups can't demonstrate the order caused specific harm (U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia PUBLIC CITIZEN, INC. et al v. TRUMP et al 1:17-cv-00253).
.
The efforts by Public Citizen, the Communications Workers of America and other groups and individuals alleging the 2-for-1 executive order delayed certain rules from being implemented and therefore caused them harm must overcome a difficult standard.
This is an example of the review of the the executive branch by the judicial branch of the United States Goverment in action. The legislative branch was left out.
