Brussels, 2 March 2016
The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Webhelp SAS of France by KKR & CO. L.P. of the US.
Webhelp is an IT services provider active primarily in the provision of business process outsourcing services. KKR is a global investment firm offering a broad range of alternative asset management services and providing capital markets solutions.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, in particular because of the limited overlaps between the companies' activities resulting from the transaction. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. More information is available on the Commission's competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.7914.
