Nation-Wide Vaccine Mandates Are Causing Severe Adverse Effects On the Individuals and Workers of Central Valley Training Center
The California Department of Public Health Vaccine Mandate, the Department of Developmental Services Directive, and the Community Care Licensing Requirement are currently the causes of dire staffing issues at Central Valley Training Center.
STOCKTON, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 27, 2021 /With state-wide vaccine initiatives currently in order, the individuals of Central Valley Training Center are struggling to provide ongoing care due to significant shortages in their staff base. Despite various incentives, many employees are waiting for the compliance date of November 30th, 2021, to resign from their positions.
"Prior to this vaccine mandate, dire staffing circumstances already existed,"states a representative of Central Valley Training Center. "We currently have a total of 185 employees who are choosing not to receive the vaccine. We feel that this mandate will drastically impact our ability to provide proper care for developmentally disabled individuals. We are urging California stakeholders to please initiate an alternative or to re-consider the mandate."
The individuals of Central Valley Training Center point out that extensive COVID-19 mitigation already exists. Additionally, the staff have and continue to abide by social distancing mandates to ensure the health and safety of everyone on the premises. The staff is trained in mitigation and undergo 100% surveillance testing weekly.
"Vaccine mandates are ultimately creating more harm than good. Compliance by November means vulnerable Californians will not receive vital services. Likewise, dedicated employees will become unemployed."
