Brussels, 19 July 2016
The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of Qlik Technologies by Thoma Bravo, both of the United States.
Qlik Technologies is a provider of business intelligence and analytics software. Thoma Bravo is a private equity firm, with a particular focus on application and infrastructure software and technology-enabled services.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, because there are only minimal overlaps between the activities of Qlik Technologies and the activities of Thoma Bravo's portfolio companies. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. More information is available on the Commission's competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.8113.
