Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Catherine Russell is on travel to Tunisia and Egypt from January 27 – February 2.
In Tunisia, Ambassador Russell’s meetings with government officials, members of Parliament, entrepreneurs, and members of civil society will focus on women’s roles in peace, security, and politics, as well as gender-based violence and women’s economic empowerment.
In Egypt, Ambassador Russell will meet with government officials, members of civil society, business leaders, and entrepreneurs to discuss gender-based violence, women’s economic and political participation, and adolescent girls’ education.
