Taking place Wednesday September 2, live from the Googleplex – Google’s famed headquarters – My Voice Mattersbrings together Melissa Goodman,ACLU SoCal Gender Equality & LBGTQ Director; Oisika Chakrabarti, representative of UN Women who launched the HeForShe campaign (made famous by Emma Watson), and Arlette Nkurayija Rwandan genocide survivor, lawyer and president of the Women and Children Embassy Foundation who will join Aimee Mullins for an inspiring panel discussion on the state of women’s empowerment and gender equality.
Highlighting the event will be Gary Catona, who has served as the renowned voice builder for the world’s top entertainers for over three decades. Catona will lead a live voice building lesson to help women raise their voices and elevate the global conversation regarding female empowerment. Known as the “Maestro of Voice,” Catona’s unique voice building system has helped major singers and actors including Andrea Bocelli, Steven Tyler, Shirley MacLaine, Lorde, Katy Perry, Seal, Usher, Shakira, Pharrell Williams and Whitney Houstonbuild their singing voice or overcome vocal disorders such as hoarseness, nasality, and vocal cord paralysis.
Part one of the event originates from the Google+ Hangout where viewers will have a front-row seat to the first-ever live performance of Gary Catona, Nick Milo and Aubrey Logan’s ‘My Voice Matters.’ Performed by Aubrey Logan and Aneeka and conducted by Gary Catona, the song will be available for download as a fundraiser for millions of disenfranchised women and children.
