Everything You Need To Know: Subaru Service & Maintenance Services
Buying a car is easy; owning a car, however, can be a critical process. After all, there are so many minute details that you need to know and understand to ensure that your car lives a long life. Looking for a reliable centre for Subaru’s service in Sydney is one of the few steps involved in the process. Before we dive into the importance of looking for a reliable service centre, it’s crucial to understand the requirements of a Subaru car as well.
Subaru is a relatively rare model, which essentially means that not every car dealership will be able to provide you with the materials that you’re looking for. When it comes to taking care of a Subaru, you need to be well prepared since the beginning. Even though getting your car serviced is inevitable, the Subaru tends to stand in direct comparison to the various models of BMW and Mercedes, making it an easy model to deal with.
Generally, Subaru can be costly to service and maintain due to its rarity. The cost grows depending on the mechanic you choose to approach. If the service centre holds no prior experience, you might be in for a costly trip. However, if you hire an experienced Randwick mechanical repair technician, you could end up saving a few dollars on your way. Don’t believe us? You can hold a visual comparison between the technicians closest to you with the ones present at Foxman Automotive.
Foxman Automotive has had an excellent reputation when it comes to Subaru’s servicing, maintenance or repairs. Moreover, they provide services of Subaru for all that you could imagine: computerised diagnostics, scheduled maintenances, repairs, tune-ups, etc. If you’re wondering whether they can help you get the help you need, you can reach out to them today on their website.
Depending on the model of Subaru that you hold, you will be assigned different scheduled services for your cars. We’ve made a list that can allow you to narrow down the schedule of your car’s model, depending on the way you use your car.
Subaru Model Vs. Timing/Kilometers Travelled
1. Liberty, Outback, Levorg, WRX, WRX STI (MY2013 onwards)
Depending on which comes first, the Subaru Liberty, Outback, Levorg, WRX and WRX STI need to be submitted for scheduled maintenance after either the first 6 months or after the total distance travelled by the respective car has crossed 12,500 km. No additional services are required. Individual repair services can be carried out after the maintenance of the car has been done within the first six months.
The Liberty and Outback need initial lubrication service for their 6 cylinder engine. This service needs to be carried out either within the first 36 months or after a 12,500 km travel (depending on which comes first). This service is not applicable for any other Subaru model.
2. BRZ (MY2013 onwards)
The first maintenance service of the car is scheduled to be done after the 9-month mark or after 15,000 kilometres have been travelled, depending on which comes first. Additional maintenance after the interim of 4.5 months or 7,500 km (whichever comes first).
3. Impreza (MY2017 onwards), XV (MY2018 onwards), Forester (MY2019)
The first and only scheduled maintenance for these models occurs after the 12-month mark has been crossed or after 12,500 km have been travelled, depending on whichever comes first.
