AG Hawley Obtains a $13,357 Default Judgment against Michael Robinson and Michael’s Irrigation, LLC for Defrauding Missouri Consumers
Jefferson City, Mo.– Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley obtained a $13,357 default judgment on behalf of six Missouri consumers who were defrauded by Michael Robinson and his company Michael’s Irrigation, LLC.
Robinson entered into agreements with Missouri consumers to provide installation and maintenance services for water irrigation systems and took upfront payment for those services. Despite receiving payment, Robinson and his company failed to provide any of the promised services to customers.
“There is no place for unscrupulous business practices in Missouri’s marketplace” Hawley said. “My office will vigorously prosecute those who attempt to defraud Missouri consumers.”
This case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Jake Aubuchon and investigated by Investigator Don Little. Missourians who believe they may have been the victim of a similar scam are encouraged to file a complaint by calling the Consumer Protection Hotline at 800-392-8222 or by submitting a claim online.
