Shooting Leads to Homicide Investigation
Las Vegas, NV - February 17, 2017 - On February 15, 2017 at approximately 8:04 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers responded to a report of a subject shot in an apartment located in the 4000 block of Silver Dollar Avenue. Arriving officers located the male adult victim with a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was transported to the University Medical Center where he remained in critical condition until his death on February 16, 2017.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated there may have been a small gathering at the apartment prior to the shooting. Detectives believe a fight ensued between the victim and two other individuals which ended when one suspect shot the victim. Immediately after the shooting, the two suspects left the area in a vehicle.
This is the 21st homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2017. The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
