Las Vegas, NV - April 4, 2016 - On April 3, 2016 at approximately 8:57 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex located at 6501 West Charleston Boulevard to investigate reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located an adult female with an apparent gunshot wound outside of an apartment building. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated that there was a dispute in the parking lot which involved two groups of people and of those, at least two individuals were firing handguns. During the exchange of gunfire, the victim was struck. It is believed that the female was associated with one of the groups involved in the original altercation.
As of this release no suspect or suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made in this case.
This is the 41st homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016. The identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
