Dispute at Residence Leads to Fatal Shooting
Las Vegas, NV - February 10, 2016 - On February 9, 2016 at approximately 1:33 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 2900 block of Kennewick Drive to investigate a report of a person shot in front of a residence. Arriving police and medical personnel located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim was involved in a verbal argument with two other individuals who were inside of a silver full size pickup truck parked in front of the residence. The argument escalated when one of the individuals, who was seated inside of the truck, shot the victim. The two subjects fled in the pickup before officers arrived.
This is the 16 th homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016. The identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. As of this release, no one is in custody and the motive is unknown.
