Detectives Seek Two Suspects in Connection with Evening Homicide
Las Vegas, NV - July 12, 2016 - On July 11, 2016 at approximately 6:29 p.m. LVMPD patrolofficers were dispatchedtoan apartment complex located in the 2700 block of North Decatur Boulevard toinvestigate reports of gunshots heard and a male down on the ground. Arriving officerslocated a male lying on a walkway within the complex who was suffering from multipleapparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid to thevictimbefore hewastransported to the UMC Trauma Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicatedthe victimwasseen near two menjust prior to the gunshots being heard. The two menwere seenfleeing the complex on foot prior to officers’ arrival.Thesuspects were described asHispanic males, possibly in their 20’s, and oneof the suspectswore his hair in aponytail.
This is the 95thhomicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016. The identity of the victim,as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark CountyCoroner’s Office. As of this release, there are no suspects in custody and the motive isunknown.
