Man Found Shot Near Downtown
Las Vegas, NV - May 24, 2017 - On May 23, 2017 at approximately 9:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of East St. Louis Avenue to investigate reports of a shooting. Arriving patrol officers located an unresponsive adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds on the sidewalk. Medical Personnel arrived and declared the victim deceased on scene.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates that after the shooting occurred, a silver four door sedan was seen leaving the area. At this time, there have been no suspects arrested. Detectives believe the incident may be gang related.
The identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
This investigation remains ongoing and detectives are seeking to identify and locate the suspects involved.
