Las Vegas, NV - December 18, 2017 - On December 18, 2017 at approximately 12:48 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Villa Knolls North Drive to investigate a report of a man down. Arriving officers located an adult male lying in a grassy area by some dumpsters, who appeared to be suffering from at least two gunshot wounds. The man was transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased a shorttime later.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated several people heard what they believed to be multiple gunshots 20-30 minutes before the victim was found deceased. No other information was available to explain what led to the shooting.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. As of this release, a suspect or suspects have not been identified and the motive is unknown.
