The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Law Enforcement Support Center Operations Unit Mentoring Team recently received the Excellence in Government Award from the Vermont Federal Executive Association. During the Annual Excellence in Government Awards Ceremony, the Center’s team of 36 subject matter experts were recognized for their dedication to the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations mission to identify and remove aliens who pose a threat to public safety.
The team provided training, ad-hoc support and mentoring to more than 114 law enforcement officers detailed from across the nation to the Center over the past year. Their dedication, commitment, and expertise facilitated skill set acquisition for detailed staff and enabled rapid responses to requests for information from law enforcement agencies nationwide about subjects encountered during the course of their investigations.
This ability to respond more quickly to partner requests enables ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations to directly impact officer and public safety. This talented and dedicated group of experts has set the benchmark for excellence in supporting the Center’s more than 13,000 law enforcement partners.
