The need for environmental conservation has grown over the last few years & fortunately, many non-profit organizations in India have made a lot of progress. 5) Say Trees
Say Trees is a Bangalore-based NGO consisting of individuals committed to saving the environment. Currently, their volunteers are working to provide saplings to all the schools outside of Bangalore. They have tie-up with various schools in Hosur & have already planted about 1200 trees. Their main goal is to plant 10,000 trees in the coming months. This organization uses a technique for planting known as “Miyawaki”, which helps the plants to grow faster.
6) Siruthuli
This organization encourages students across various campuses to grow saplings. They have recently successfully planted 40,000+ trees across Anna university as a part of their new initiative. Established in 2016, Siruthulli provides soil, manure & seeds to the students to grow their saplings.
