South American Gold Corp to Change Name to Sativa Growth International and Discusses Opportunities Within the Global Cannabis Market
LAS VEGAS, NV , June 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- South American Gold Corp. (OTC Pinks: “SAGD” or "Company"), a company shifting its primary focus toward the acquisition and implementation of cannabis and cannabis-related subsidiaries, is pleased to announce that it will be changing its name from South American Gold Corp., to “Sativa Growth International,” to better reflect its new corporate direction and business model.
Gary Austin, Director of Sativa, commented, "Our initial foray into the cannabis industry began a year ago with the acquisition of cNation and The Kush Journals. Since that time SAGD Company leadership has been strategically networking with leaders and entrepreneurs within the cannabis industry to pave the way for us to build something very special. SAGD is now in a place to add more cannabis-related companies to our portfolio and we are in the final stages of closing on two truly exciting acquisitions. My plan is to announce the first of these acquisitions before the July 4th holiday.”
Sativa Growth International will focus on completing corporate milestones with its transition into the cannabis sector. The first step in SAGD’s corporate rebranding was the reduction of common shares, which immediately increased value for current and future shareholders. The second milestone is the change of name and a new corporate website and social media presence. Investors may visit the new corporate Twitter account at www.twitter.com/sativagrowth and may also look forward to a new corporate website.
Gary Austin, Director of Sativa, concluded, "I sincerely believe the cannabis industry is in its infancy and there is still an exponential growth cycle yet to come. There is a plenty of opportunity within this booming industry, not only on the domestic level, but also in overseas markets such as China and Europe. Along with the change in cannabis legislation, the former social stigma is shifting to a more popular and accepted opinion of cannabis. Considering global markets with billions of potential customers, we believe it is vital for Sativa to be involved in this historic paradigm shift that is currently catapulting the cannabis industry to new heights."
