Sioux Lookout hospital getting safe rooms, with hopes of bringing better support for mental health patients

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, a hub for 30 fly-in First Nations communities in northwestern Ontario, is undergoing renovations to create spaces to meet patients' mental health needs. Creating such safe spaces in more hospitals will further help reduce stigma, says a psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto.
