TikTok is India’s new educational tool
Educational videos that also entertain you have always been popular ever since the popularity of the United States early morning show Sesame Street. Thanks to the easy access of the internet, which is also clubbed with affordable data plans, educational videos have now being penetrated into the deepest pockets of India.
TikTok, the world’s leading short video platform, has recognised this and with the help of many of its users, started an in-app challenged called #EduTok. #EduTok empowersTikTok users to create meaningful and inspiring content around various themes with a focus on education, motivational, safety, food recipes, health and wellness.
Since the challenge started on TikTok, #EduTok has garnered close to 32 billion views, proving once again that TikTok is the preferred medium of creative expression for 200 million users across India. Users can learn yoga, English, or the importance of being healthy through #EduTok, a challenge that ensures India is constantly learning.
