U.S. Marshals Announce a $10,000 Reward for Information that Leads to the Arrest of Kenneth Dehart
Maryville, TN – The U.S. Marshals is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that would lead to the arrest of Kenneth Dehart, 42, of Blount County. Dehart is accused of fatally shooting Blount County Deputy Greg McCowan and injuring Deputy Shelby Eggers during a traffic stop on Thursday evening.
Dehart fled the scene and his current whereabouts are unknown. The U.S. Marshals (USMS) has been assisting the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation with the fugitive investigation.
This brings the reward for information to more than $75,000, with the U.S. Marshals offering $10,000, the Blount County Sheriff’s Office $10,000, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office $10,000, Smith & Wesson $40,000, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation $2,500, the East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers $2,000, and several private individuals also pledging money.
