U.S. Marshals Arrest Gervens Justilien, Wanted for Murder of Allen County Woman
Toledo, OH – Today, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Gervens Justilien. Justilien, 31, was wanted by Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service for murder of an Allen County woman. On March 25, 2024, Gervens Justilien was charged by the Allen County Prosecutors Office for the murder of Chrislande Auguste, 26, that occurred on March 10. Auguste was found dead at a home on Makley Drive.
Investigators believed that she died by strangulation and blunt force trauma. Through the joint investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service and Allen County Sheriff’s Office, information was developed that Justilien had fled to Providence, Rhode Island. Today at approximately 1:00pm, the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, working closely with the U.S. Marshals Service in the district of Rhode Island, coordinated the arrest of Gervens Justilien. Justilien will be held in custody in Rhode Island until he is extradited back to Ohio.
Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Brian Fitzgibbon stated, “We work closely with our Federal, State, and Municipal partners to ensure violent fugitives are captured no matter where they flee. Our law enforcement partners in Rhode Island worked in unison with our team to safely bring this homicide suspect into custody.”
