U.S. Marshals Offer Reward for Information in Orange Mound Mass Shooting
Memphis, TN – The U.S. Marshals Service is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the individuals responsible for the deadly shooting in Orange Mound.
On April 20, 2024, there was a block party at the intersection of Carnes Avenue and Grand Street in the Orange Mound neighborhood in Memphis. According to reports, the event drew a crowd of between 200 and 300 people. During the gathering, at least two unidentified shooters opened fire into the crowd, resulting in nine people injured and two deaths. The victims ranged in age from 16 to 29 years old. The two deceased individuals were ages 17 and 22.
Anyone with information, and video, from the shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274). In addition to the reward offered by the U.S. Marshals Service, Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $15,000 reward.
U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller expressed deep concern over this crime, stating, "The U.S. Marshals Service is committed to partnering with the Memphis Police Department to bring those responsible to justice. We hope this reward money will encourage someone to come forward and assist in solving this case."
