BITCOIN ETF FINALLY APPROVED ???
While the headline out of Citi caused some concern in pre-open and early trading in NFLX, after a quick move from yesterday’s close of $485.03 to $473.80 by 10:15, the climb back up, while not getting back to green, did manage only a minor loss of only $2.52 or just .52%! Citi’s complaint was a combination of lower revenues, more spending in 2025, and industry consolidations. I tend to ignore Citi since it’s the only bank stock that NEVER recovered, remember, it was reverse-split 1:10 so it’s still actually down from around $600 to it’s current $56, so while JPM makes alltime highs, C is still down 90%! Really not confidence inspiring.
The rest of the market was lower, even if the few masked the many! The NASDAQ was the only index higher at +13.94 (.09%) even though the A/D was 2:1 down. The rest were the Russell, the biggest loser -20.97 (1.05%), DJ Transports -133.66 (.85%), DJIA -157.85 (.42%), and the S&P-500 -7.04 (.15%). NYSE A/D was 5:2 and the volume fell back to just 5Billion shares traded.

ENERGY: $72.24 +1.47 We had solid rally early todaythat took us as high as 73.64 before we turned down and closed near the lows, making it look like we’re headed for yet another test of support! The stocks however in the XLE showed gains finishing $82.36 -1.34 (1.60%).
NAT GAS: $3.19 + .21.The cold weather finally caught up to the extremely tight supply / demand of the Nat Gas market. Falling temperatures across the U.S. and Europe have sent prices sharply higher. From the sound of the reports I’m hearing, it seems that things may stay this way for a while, and some of the low readings in mid-America are new all-time lows!
BITCOIN: $47,045 -260Last week’saction showed that Crypto is managing to overcome the questionable player in the field along with more mainstream adoption and participation and possible regulation to remove the Wild West history of this market. I look for it to go higher from here over the intermediate and long term! GBTC finished the day at $38.75 -.25 and our open position in ETHE finished at $18.54 -.39.
Tomorrow is another day.
