NFLX +10%, ADDS 13MM SUBS!!

MMM HUGE MISS -11%

The markets were a split affair again today, but they went in the opposite direction as yesterday! Today the DJIA was lower all day and finished -96.36 (.25%) and joined by both the Russell -7.11 (.36%) and the DJ Transports -44.38 (.28%) while the NASDAQ was higher by 65.66 (.43%) and the S&P-500 was +14.17 (.29%). A/D were pretty evenly split with just a bit more lower than higher on the NYSE @ 1,300:1450 and on the NASDAQ at 2040:2176 and volume falling further to 5.2Billion shares traded.

We started the day with several BIG names going in opposite direction with JNJ and MMM lower and PG higher. The earnings miss for MMM was the feature sending the stock down from its $108.02 prior close to hit 94.11 and closing $95.97 -12.05 (11%). JNJ was also weak, but made back all but $2.66 or 1.64% of the decline. The real firewiorks were after the close as NFLX beat and added 13million new subscribers and after closing $491.09 +5.38 it surged ahead to trade $535.92 with a last of 532.43 +46.66 (9.64%).

ENERGY: $74.37 -.39 We had solid rally early todaythat took us as high as 73.64 before we turned down and closed near the lows, making it look like we’re headed for yet another test of support! The stocks however in the XLE showed gains finishing $80.79 +.32 (.40%).

NAT GAS: $2.16 +.04The cold weather finally caught up to the extremely tight supply / demand of the Nat Gas market. Falling temperatures across the U.S. and Europe have sent prices sharply higher. From the sound of the reports I’m hearing, it seems that things may stay this way for a while, and some of the low readings in mid-America are new all-time lows! This is a roll from February to the March contract.

BITCOIN: $39,235 - 945Last week’saction showed that Crypto is managing to overcome the questionable player in the field along with more mainstream adoption and participation and possible regulation to remove the Wild West history of this market. I look for it to go higher from here over the intermediate and long term! GBTC finished the day at $35.77 - .05 and our open position in ETHE finished at $17.52 -1.49.
