China Fibers Fashion Trends Press Conference Spotlights Innovation and Inspiration
SHANGHAI, CHINA / ACCESS Newswire / March 14, 2025 /The Tongkun-China Fibers Fashion Trends Press Conference 2025/2026 kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on Tuesday, drawing over 500 participants from leading chemical fiber companies, the fashion industry and the artistic community.

Under the theme of "Upholding Excellence & Pursuing Endurance," organizers unveiled The Tongkun-China Fibers Fashion Trends 2025/2026, showcasing 30 breakthrough fiber innovations with cross-industry applications, promising endless possibilities for sectors such as aerospace, medical care and construction.
Marking its 14th year, the annual China Fibers Fashion Trends continues its mission to propel Chinese fibers onto the global stage, as stated by the event organizers: China Chemical Fibers Association, Donghua University, China Cotton Textile Association and Tongkun Group.

During the press conference, China Chemical Fibers Association and China Cotton Textile Association jointly published China Yarns Fashion Trends 2025/2026, which highlights 40 innovative and sustainable yarn products with the theme "Intelligent Sharing and Collaborative Innovation".
As China 's fiber industry strives for high-quality development, technological innovation is driving its transformation toward being "high-end, green, intelligent and branded," said Chen Xinwei, president of China Chemical Fibers Association.

He emphasized that the essence of technology for good lies in creating a symbiotic ecology-using fiber as a medium to connect basic research and development to end consumption, utilizing innovation as a bridge to facilitate the transformation from laboratory to industrialization, and adopting sustainability as the benchmark to reshape the entire lifecycle from raw materials to finished products.
The press conference also featured numerous upstream and downstream enterprises within the textile and chemical fiber industrial chain across the country, all committed to new fiber development and application.

This year marks the fifth time that Tongkun Group, a chemical fiber giant based in Tongxiang, Jiaxing, has sponsored the China Fibers Fashion Trends Press Conference. According to Li Shengjun, the group 's executive president, Tongkun 's collaboration with the event has yielded significant benefits.

Renowned fashion designer Li Wei, a professor at the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, staged a fashion show during the press conference, presenting around 30 show costumes made from innovative fibers developed by the Tongkun Group and other leading Chinese fiber producers, incorporating various intangible cultural heritage techniques.
Chinese star triathlete Miao Hao and his wife walked the runway, demonstrating the fashionable appeal of functional fibers for sports.
Li Wei and French artist Laurent Lettieri, also presented an art installation resembling the DNA helix structure. Constructed with LED tubes and wires, this artwork captured the unity of technology and nature.
