Guided Hacking Interviews Roblox Anticheat Engineer
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / March 25, 2025 /Guided Hacking just dropped an interview on their podcast with Nemanja Mulasmajic aka Nemi who 's pretty much the go to guy when it comes to anticheat. The whole episode covers Nemi 's crazy journey into game security & his major breakthroughs plus what he thinks is next for anticheat tech.

Getting Inside the Mind of an Anti Cheat Legend
The interview kicks off with how Nemi got into this scene from messing around with private WoW servers back in the day to becoming a top dog developing anticheat software at huge companies. They chat about how gaming security evolved big hurdles devs still face & cool new tech that 'll stop cheaters cold.
Nemi started at Blizzard helping keep Overwatch clean & moved onto Riot Games building heavy duty systems for League of Legends. Right now he 's at Roblox after they bought his company Byfron Technologies.

How Nemi Turned Gaming Passion into His Job
This dude 's story is wild. Around 2005 he was broke couldn 't pay for WoW subs & dove headfirst into private servers. That curiosity pushed him into computer science eventually landing a gig at the Department of Defense. But his real love was gaming security so he made a leap into gaming & straight up changed the anti cheat game forever.
In the video Nemi drops legit advice for anyone wanting to jump into game hacking or security research. He breaks down what technical skills matter most the kind of mindset that gets results & why staying ethical really matters if you 're gonna make it in the industry.
Launching Byfron Technologies & the Hyperion Project
After shipping Riot 's Vanguard anti cheat Nemi teamed up with Clint Sereday to start Byfron Technologies aiming to build next gen anticheat software. They rolled out Hyperion a cutting edge tool using new methods of user mode binary hardening making it crazy hard for hackers to reverse engineer games.
Byfron didn 't stay indie for long though Roblox quickly snapped them up. But even in that short run their tech shook things up big time. The acquisition gave Nemi even more resources to build better protections making him an even bigger deal in the anti cheat world.

What 's Next for Anti Cheat Tech According to Nemi
In the episode Nemi shares his vision of what 's coming next. He stresses a multi-layered approach mixing platform specific defenses & focusing heavily on user trust. He 's betting kernel mode anti cheats & hardware based stuff like TPM modules will play huge roles soon.
One idea he tosses around that 's a bit controversial is "queue segregation" basically putting players with better security in more trusted queues. It sounds effective but could raise fairness & accessibility issues.
Nemi 's Contributions & Security Community Work
But Nemi doesn 't just do his own thing he 's super involved in the larger security community. He presented some mind-blowing research at BlackHat 2018 on CPU vulnerabilities in x86 & x64 systems.
He 's also teamed up on anti cheat patents with Nicolas Peterson & regularly writes about reverse engineering Windows internals & other security topics.
