As the founder of Mommy Dentists in Business, Dr. Yum has substantially impacted her community and industry. Leading a Profession Through Advocacy
Dr. Yum 's first career was in orthodontics, where her work exposed her to the many roles and responsibilities of the dental field. Discovering a passion for this interest, she was inspired to shift her focus and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, specializing in pediatric dentistry.

This new direction was motivated by Dr. Yum 's personal experiences as a mother working in dentistry. Through online resources, educational content and in-person events, Dr. Yum has helped women take greater control over their careers and homes.
Expanding Opportunities for Service
Dr. Yum has succeeded as a podcaster, author, speaker and community-builder through Mommy Dentists in Business. She also finds time to serve as an active member of other organizations, including the American Dental Association and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Additionally, Dr. Yum served as a guest board member for the California Dental Association in 2023. She takes particular pride in her role as a mentor for women in her field, many of whom have become successful dental professionals.
Planning for the future of both her dental career and her advocacy, Dr. Yum hopes to expand Mommy Dentists in Business into an international platform.
