BIRMINGHAM, MICHIGAN / ACCESS Newswire / April 28, 2025 /Atty. Kevin Kijewski (pronounced Key-Ev-Ski) declared for the Office of Michigan Attorney General during a speech on current AG Nessel 's lawfare at the Lapeer County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner held on Saturday. Kijewski outlined Nessel 's draconian actions during COVID, her attacks on religious charities, her failures on the environment, and her lawfare against the Democrats ' political opponents.

Kijewski 's key issues include stopping lawfare; ensuring free, fair, and honest elections; supporting law enforcement; and the investigation and prosecution of violent crime and government fraud.
"Michigan deserves an Attorney General who roots out corruption, prosecutes crime, and makes sure every legal vote counts," said Kijewski. "Remember, earning trust for elections requires accountability for election fraud. No more games, no more excuses," continued Kijewski.
Kijewski is currently defending Trump alternate electors from Nessel 's improper, unjust and politically tainted charges. Previously, during the Whitmer/Nessel COVID lockdowns, Kijewski served as Vice Chair of Michigan Association of Non-public Schools (MANS) where he built a statewide coalition that organized federal litigation to make sure that tens of thousands of students stayed in reopened high schools.
"Thousands of elderly died alone separated from family and our children suffered setbacks in their education and socialization because of Whitmer 's and Nessel 's unnecessary and oppressive COVID lockdowns," said Kijewski. "As Michigan 's next AG, I 'll stop government overreach, support the rule of law, stop lawfare, support the Second Amendment, and investigate and prosecute crime. Michigan deserves an Attorney General who does the AG 's job, not a radical misusing of the powers of the office."
