Rabbi Russell Rabichev Seeks Legal Support to Defend First Amendment Rights Amid Alleged Discrimination
Rabbi Russell Rabichev seeks pro bono legal support to defend his First Amendment rights amid ongoing legal proceedings in Los Angeles, citing concerns about religious discrimination and fair access to due process.
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / April 29, 2025 /Rabbi Russell Rabichev, a Jewish civil rights leader, devoted father, and journalist, is urgently seeking pro bono legal representation to defend his First Amendment rights- both his religious freedom and rights as a journalist - after facing alleged antisemitic discrimination and mistreatment at the hands of Los Angeles Superior Court employee Lilit Khachatryan.
Rabbi Rabichev is more than a rabbi. He is a devoted father of two young boys, a passionate advocate for civil rights, and a voice for justice.
"Everything I do - every business, every prayer, every effort - is for my sons and for God," he states.
His unwavering love for his children and God drives his resilience as he confronts painful legal battles and systemic anti-Semitic discrimination.
Despite his dedication, Rabbi Rabichev alleges that he has been subjected to prejudiced treatment both because of his Jewish identity and his role as a father fighting to stay actively involved in his children 's lives. His legal efforts are currently centered on proceedings in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, under Case Number 25STRO02316, filed on April 11, 2025.
The case is being pursued by petitioner Lilit Khachatryan, represented by Attorney Erin M. Hamor of Lozano Smith (State Bar No. 306673).
Attorney Hamor 's contact information is:
Address: One Capitol Mall, Suite 640, Sacramento, CA 95814
Phone: (916) 329-7433
Fax: (916) 329-9050
Email: ehamor@lozanosmith.com
Rabbi Rabichev asserts that attempts by him and his team to communicate regarding the case have been met with hostility: calls are allegedly cut off, racist comments made, and transfers to Attorney Hamor refused. "It is outrageous that in 2025, blatant antisemitism and obstruction of communication in legal matters are tolerated," Rabbi Rabichev emphasizes.
He stresses that his fight transcends his personal hardship: "This isn 't just about me. It 's about defending the rights of every parent, every faith leader, and every journalist who faces institutional prejudice. When our First Amendment rights are trampled, all of society suffers."
In addition to his advocacy, Rabbi Rabichev continues to inspire others through his entrepreneurship and spiritual leadership. His official platform, rabbi.love, provides spiritual guidance alongside practical strategies for building a life rooted in faith, resilience, and purpose.
A hearing before the Honorable Judge assigned to Department 65 is scheduled for May 2, 2025, at 8:30 AM, at the Metropolitan Courthouse, Department 65, Room 302, located at 1945 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
