Mr. Maranise has also earned several certifications. Most notably, he is a board-certified chaplain, trained to deploy and work in disaster, hospital and educational settings. Additionally, he actively serves as a lay Eucharistic minister.

Beginning a Professional Career

Mr. Maranise began his career by founding an academic course titled Faith Development in Athletics at Christian Brothers High School in 2006 before joining the department of religion at Bishop Byrne Middle and High School. There, he rose from campus minister and sports chaplain to become the dean of mission, ministry and outreach, serving in that capacity until the school 's closure in 2013. Afterward, he joined Christian Brothers University as a Lasallian history and research curator in 2015 and served as associate editor for The Galleon in 2017.

Following his tenure at Christian Brothers University, Mr. Maranise served as a lecturer in religious studies at the University of Memphis from 2017 to 2020. He then joined the faculty at St. Ann Catholic School as the religion chairperson for 6^th to 8th grades (middle school).

In 2016, Mr. Maranise decided to launch his first non-profit organization, Sport & the Spiritual Life and founded The Eternal Insight Group only one year later. Sport & the Spiritual Life builds upon Mr. Maranise 's academic expertise at the intersection of sports, spirituality and religion, while The Eternal Insight Group is a nonprofit organization composed of an academic publishing house and an investment arm. Mr. Maranise 's Contributions as an Author

In addition to his professional career, Mr. Maranise is an accomplished author of six books, numerous academic journal contributions, and book chapters. He has made significant contributions through his publications, which include "Sport & the Spiritual Life: The Integration of Playing & Praying," published by the Order of Saint Benedict in 2013.
