UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / November 4, 2025 /Marquis Who 's Who honors Charles Arthur Young for his lifelong dedication to education, literature and historical research. A retired teacher and published author, Mr. Young has inspired generations of students through his passion for learning and his continued exploration of literary mysteries.

About Charles Arthur Young
Mr. Young is a respected educator, researcher and writer with more than 35 years of teaching experience and a career that spans multiple disciplines. His work as both a teacher and author reflects a deep curiosity about history, literature and human nature. He earned a bachelor 's degree from Western Washington State College with dual majors in speech with a drama emphasis, and physical education, along with six minors, including psychology, art and U.S. history. He later completed a master 's degree at Nova University. Mr. Young 's broad education allowed him to teach subjects ranging from English literature and journalism to physical education and photography.
Mr. Young 's teaching career took him around the world. He began teaching in Melbourne, Australia, before returning to the United States to instruct students on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Heart Butte, Montana. He later moved to Las Vegas, where he spent three decades teaching in schools such as Indian Springs High School, where he was in charge of the school newspaper, the yearbook production and the coaching of several sports teams. He went on to teach at Brinley Jr. High and later to Rancho High School, where he coached swimming and was in charge of the student council for a year. He went on to join the staff at Cimarron-Memorial High School, where he spent his last 12 years teaching. During this time, he acted in a dozen student-staff musical productions to earn money for their scholarship program. His debate students achieved statewide recognition in the four years of mock-trial competitions he coached.
Throughout his career, he emphasized creative expression, critical thinking skills and the importance of understanding the authors and the times behind the great works of literature. As a lifelong writer and investigator, Mr. Young is best known for his work on literary mysteries, particularly his decades-long research into the Shakespeare authorship question. His article, "Shake-speare 's Tombe 'Epigramma, ' " published in Games Magazine in 1998, examined the cryptic writing on Shakespeare 's tombstone in Stratford-upon-Avon. Through analysis and geometric interpretation, he identified hidden messages that, he argues, suggest that Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford, was the actual author behind Shakespeare 's works. His ongoing research continues through his website and blog, where he shares findings related to Freemasonry symbolism, early modern literature and historical authorship debates.
Mr. Young 's most recent accomplishment is his 2025 novel, "Murder Will Always Out. " This book blends historical fact with fiction. It explores real crimes committed in the New York City area during the Gilded Age and uncovers forgotten narratives of corruption and media influence. Drawing from authentic newspaper accounts and archives, the story highlights figures such as editor and investigative-journalist David Graham Phillips and artist and journalist Mary Chambers a.k.a, Kate Carew, placing them at the center of mysteries that bridge the gap between fact and fiction. Mr. Young considers this work his most meaningful professional achievement, as it connects historical storytelling with contemporary themes dealing with truth and accountability.
A Notable Career
Over his career, Mr. Young has earned numerous awards, including the prestigious honor of being one of the Silver Spartan Award recipients from Cimarron-Memorial High School in 2007 and multiple medals in track and field and swimming. Javelin throwing and pole vaulting were his favorite events. His written work concerning the Bard has been featured in USA Today and was included in "The Charles Osgood Files, " earning him recognition for both his teaching and authorship. He is an aficionado of the Freemasons and continues to contribute to educational and civic causes, including the scholarship fund of Bellingham 's university and his private fund which he calls "the Chuck Young Scholarship Fund. "
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Young enjoys powerwalking and by-the-rules golf. He takes great pride in his two daughters and two grandsons, who continue to inspire him. As a lifelong learner and storyteller, he believes that understanding the past and the people who shaped it is an important key to understanding ourselves today. Currently, Mr. Young is revisiting his Shakespearean research to produce an illustrated nonfiction project focused on Edward de Vere. He plans to expand upon his discoveries for a new generation of readers and educators.
