ForCast Orthopedics Selected for MedTech Innovator Program and Presenting at Wilson Sonsini Conference
DENVER, CO / ACCESS Newswire / June 4, 2026 /ForCast Orthopedics today announced that the company has been selected for the 2026 cohort of the MedTech Innovator (MTI) accelerator program. MTI is one of the largest and most impactful life science accelerator programs. Only 65 companies out of more than 1,800 applicants were selected for this year 's cohort.
In conjunction with the MTI kickoff activities, Peter Noymer, PhD, Executive Chairman and CEO of ForCast, will be presenting during the Orthopedics & Physiotherapy Innovations Showcase at the Wilson Sonsini Medical Device & Digital Health Conference (MDC) on Friday, June 5, at the InterContinental in San Francisco. MDC is a premier annual event for entrepreneurs, investors and executives in the healthcare technology space.
ForCast 's proprietary Wearable Intra-Articular Infusion System delivery platform (WIIS, pronounced "wise ") is being developed to address the shortcomings in treatment options currently available for patients diagnosed with periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). PJI is a rare but serious complication of joint replacement procedures that can threaten the function of the joint, the preservation of the limb and even the life of the patient.
"We are very excited to be part of the MTI accelerator cohort, " said Dr. Noymer. "It is gratifying to receive this validation for our novel WIIS technology platform, as well as recognition for the critical unmet need that we are addressing. We look forward to working closely with the MTI team over the next several months, and to sharing our vision of improved outcomes for PJI patients with the broader healthcare technology community at MDC. "
The WIIS platform is being developed to support ForCast 's product pipeline, which includes FC001 (vancomycin) and FC002 (tobramycin) for coverage of both gram-positive and gram-negative infections.
