OSS XL Opens with $7.2 Million in Prize Pools at Americas Cardroom
The first four days produce 62,847 entries, 33 guarantee-beating tournaments and early leaderboard leaders.
SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / September 10, 2026 /Americas Cardroom reported $7,216,985 in prize pools from the opening four days of its Online Super Series XL. The Sept. 6-9 schedule recorded 62,847 entries, excluding entries from tournament flights.
Across 93 tournaments, the completed numbered schedule advanced through OSS XL #70. Thirty-three tournaments finished above their posted guarantees, adding a combined $217,170 beyond those guarantees.
The largest prize pool of the opening stretch came from OSS XL #13. The $630 buy-in High Roller attracted 1,118 entries, creating a $670,800 prize pool against a $600,000 guarantee. BADGERING placed first and received $130,210.
Another high buy-in tournament also cleared its guarantee. OSS XL #16 drew 203 entries at $2,650 each and produced $507,500, above its $500,000 guarantee. A final-table deal left NewYorkMidgets listed first for $95,312, KevinParCoeur second for $93,875 and Olivander1 third for $87,459.
The largest field belonged to OSS XL #11L Sunday Splash. The $16.50 tournament registered 4,752 entries from 3,024 unique players, with lukewarmwater taking first place for $10,953.
Mystery Bounty tournament OSS XL #12 also delivered an unusual outcome when the player finishing 43rd claimed the $15,120 top bounty.
The series ' three leaderboard competitions are developing alongside the tournament results. GROOTHEDEGEN leads the High standings with 2,381.59 points, followed by 4435GOLDENBOY, BOW2ME, MIKEINTHEBIKE and RUCOSMONAUT. FEEDTHEPENGUIN leads Medium with 599.85 points, ahead of JUANG96, GAMBLING888, JBOYYY88 and INIT2MINIT.
More than $60,000 in added cash and tournament tickets is available across the High, Medium and Low leaderboards. The first-place awards are $15,000 for High, $7,500 for Medium and $4,000 for Low.
Four multi-flight tournaments with $2.225 million in combined guarantees are underway. This Sunday, the first of three OSS XL Main Events begins with a $500,000 guarantee and $66 direct buy-in. Satellites start at $6.60.
