The Mortgage Office Launches AI Portfolio Tools to Help Private Lenders Spot Risk Earlier and Get More from Their Data
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA / ACCESS Newswire / November 5, 2026 /The Mortgage Office (TMO), a leading provider of loan management software for private lenders, today announced its Turing release of enhancements to the company 's cloud-based platform. The Turing release brings a new suite of AI portfolio tools that includes Portfolio Risk Predictor, AI Data Explorer, MCP and enhanced APIs, all with AI-powered capabilities designed to unlock the value of data already stored within TMO 's lending platform.
Private lenders accumulate years of loan, payment, and borrower data, but few have the data science resources to turn it into forward-looking insight. The AI portfolio tools apply AI directly to the data lenders already manage in TMO, without requiring a separate analytics platform, data migration, or dedicated analysts.
"Many private lenders already have the data they need to do deep analytics to unearth insights and spot trouble early. It 's just buried in payment histories and reports nobody has time to build, " said Dr. Akhil Sahai, Chief AI & Product Officer at The Mortgage Office. "Our AI portfolio tools suite applies AI to that data where it already lives, so a servicing team can see which loans are drifting toward default, and why, before it shows up as a delinquency. Beyond risk, anyone on the team can get answers from their data in plain language, and developers can connect it directly to the AI tools they already use. "
TMO 's new AI Portfolio Tools include:
- Portfolio Risk Predictor:Uses predictive modeling to flag loans trending toward default, with a clear explanation behind every score. Rather than a black-box rating, each risk score shows the specific factors driving it, such as late payments, non-sufficient funds, and accruing charges, along with trend lines that track loan performance over time. TMO used 5.8 million data points to build its model. Lenders can use these insights to intervene earlier, document the reasoning behind their actions, and measure whether their risk mitigation strategies are working.
- MCP Support and Enhanced APIs:Gives users and developers a direct connection between TMO data and AI tools and custom workflows. Modernized APIs and new support for Model Context Protocol (MCP) allows TMO users to query their data in plain language, and it enables developers to automate processes across their operations and build agentic workflows with tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
- AI Data Explorer:Lets users generate custom exports by selecting tables, renaming columns, and applying filters, without writing API code. Once an export is ready, users can ask questions about the data in plain language and get answers in seconds. Conversations stay attached to each export, so teams can return later with follow-up questions without recreating the dataset.
The Turing launch follows the company 's announcement last week of TMO Envoy, its new AI-native loan origination system. Together, the two releases reflect The Mortgage Office 's continued investment in AI capabilities and products that address the real-world challenges private lenders face.
