Walter Clark Legal Group Awards $80,000 in 2024 Scholarships, Opens 2025 Applications
Scholarships Support Local Students Committed to Public Service Careers
RANCHO MIRAGE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / December 27, 2024 /Walter Clark Legal Group (WCLG) proudly awarded $80,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors from 40 schools across 11 school districts in Southern California. The recipients, drawn from communities including Imperial Valley, Greater Palm Springs, Banning/Beaumont, Morongo, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and Victorville, each received $2,000 to aid with tuition or living expenses. Additionally, two winners for the nationally available scholarship will be awarded with the 2025 American Public Service Scholarship.
The scholarships were part of the annual WCLG Public Service Scholarship initiative, aimed at supporting students committed to public service careers such as political science, law, education, social work, counseling, law enforcement, firefighting, and medicine. Selection criteria included academic and civic excellence, demonstrated community volunteer work, and plans to attend college in the fall.

Recipients were chosen based on academic and civic excellence, involvement in community service, and commitment to pursuing a career in public service.
Looking Ahead: 2025 Scholarship Applications Now Open
WCLG is now accepting applications for its national 2025 Public Service Scholarship. High school seniors planning to pursue higher education and careers in public service are encouraged to apply by the January 30, 2025, deadline. Eligible students must meet the following criteria:
Demonstrate academic and civic excellence, including community volunteer hours
Enroll in a 4-year college or university (or a 2-year community college for alternative high school graduates) starting in Fall 2025
Pursue a career in a public service field
Have attained and maintained and a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall standing to be eligible
