The Extraordinary Fellowship Announces Inaugural Class of 25 Fellows
SAN FRANCISCO, CA / ACCESS Newswire / January 16, 2025 /The Extraordinary Fellowship today announced its inaugural class of 25 fellows selected from more than 1,500 applicants worldwide. The fellowship brings together a cohort of exceptional technology innovators and provides each fellow with a grant of $5,000 of NVIDIA H100 compute, as well as mentorship from a network of founders, investors and engineering leaders.
The newly named Extraordinary Fellows were chosen by a panel of accomplished technology experts. Run by technologist Sigil Wen, with technical advisors including Marco Mascorro, Will Depue, Adam Majmudar, Diego Rodriguez, and William Lin, the Extraordinary Fellowship was started to, "empower the best technical talent who we believe will make a dent in the universe," said Wen. "Each of the fellows are prolific self-starters with insatiable curiosities for advancing the forefront of technology."
Meet the First Class of Extraordinary Fellows
Silas Alberti (X/Twitter) - Founding team member at Cognition AI, co-creator of Devin (the AI Software Engineer) and a large language model researcher at Google DeepMind and Stanford. He pioneered PIGEON, the first superhuman AI in GeoGuessr, and defeated pro player Rainbolt in a viral video.
Alishba Imran(X/Twitter) At 16, developed an open-source computer vision prosthetic arm, which led to joining Hanson Robotics to work on Sophia the Robot and co-lead research in neuro-symbolic AI. She has been a deep tech polymath and past researcher/engineer at the Arc Institute, Harvard Biodesign Lab, Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, Cruise, the Vector Institute and NVIDIA. She authored an O 'Reilly textbook, Machine Learning for Robotics.
