NJCP Completes Week 4 With Five Games in Four States
LAS VEGAS, NV / CRWE PRESS RELEASE / September 29, 2026 — The National Junior College Prep (NJCP) Football League has published five Week 4 results from games played Saturday, Sept. 26, through Monday, Sept. 28, in Alabama, Ohio, Oklahoma and Utah. Cincinnati United played its first game of the season, becoming the 12th NJCP program to take the field this fall, and the five results bring the season's published total to 18. Four teams also named Week 4 MVPs, with performances that included a go-ahead touchdown, a three-touchdown game and production on both offense and defense.
Cincinnati United vs. North Carolina Lightning
Cincinnati United opened its schedule on Sept. 26 by hosting the North Carolina Lightning in Cincinnati and won 12-7. Jaleel Engleman was named Cincinnati's Week 4 MVP. Head coach Jared Ward credited Engleman with making plays in all three phases of the game, including the go-ahead touchdown, which he scored with a run after the catch. The trip to Ohio was the Lightning's second road game,following their Sept. 19 game against the Carolina Spots in Williamsburg County, South Carolina.
Alabama Bears vs. Carolina Spots
The Alabama Bears played their home opener on Sept. 26, hosting the Carolina Spots at Heardmont Park in Shelby County, and won 30-12. Running back Jamari Buye was the Bears' Week 4 MVP. According to head coach Eric Phillips, Buye recorded an interception, a pass breakup and three tackles on defense. On offense, he caught five passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. "He got it done on both sides of the ball," head coach Eric Phillips said.
Carolina Spots head coach Jamar Dorival named linebacker Edward Grissett the team's Week 4 MVP. Dorival pointed to Grissett's ability to mesh with his teammates and take coaching, saying his team-first mindset "shows on the field."
Oklahoma Apex vs. Clutch City Eagles
In Shawnee, the Oklahoma Apex hosted the Clutch City Eagles on Sept. 26 at the North Rock Creek School campus, where the program held its scholarship tryout in June. It was the Apex's first game in Shawnee this season. Clutch City won 42-0. Head coach James Moore selected Greg Earl as the Eagles' Week 4 MVP, crediting him with more than 100 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
St. George Silver vs. CGE Chargers
The St. George Silver hosted the CGE Chargers, an non-league opponent from Las Vegas, on Sept. 26 and won 55-0. The game was the Silver's first home game in St. George this season, following their Sept. 12 trip north to face the Salt Lake Yeti.
Snow College JV vs. Salt Lake Yeti
Week 4 concluded Monday, Sept. 28, in Ephraim, Utah, where outside opponent Snow College JV defeated the Salt Lake Yeti 55-0. The game was Salt Lake Yeti's first match against a NJCAA Division 1 program.
Week 5 Schedule
Week 5 begins Saturday, Oct. 3, with four games, including the Dallas Stampede's season opener against the Clutch City Eagles. The Salt Lake Yeti face the CGE Chargers in Las Vegas on Sunday, Oct. 4, and the San Antonio Vipers are scheduled to play at Hardin-Simmons University on Monday, Oct. 5.
