(OTCQB: NEWH), the developer of ThermoLoop® – a breakthrough thermochemical technology that uses heat to split water to produce massive amounts of the world 's cheapest clean hydrogen, and the Utah San Rafael Energy Lab (“USREL”), a unit within the Utah Office of Energy Development, announced today a strategic collaboration to conduct an initial site assessment evaluating USREL 's Orangeville, Utah facility as a potential host site for a future ThermoLoop deployment.
USREL, operated by the Utah Office of Energy Development, is a multidisciplinary research facility supporting applied research and technology development across nuclear, fossil and renewable energy systems. Under the non-binding collaboration, NewHydrogen and USREL will evaluate site infrastructure, utility capacity and permitting considerations relevant to hosting a ThermoLoop system, with findings expected to inform a future siting decision as the Company advances toward its first pilot plant deployment.
The pilot plant will be a small-scale system built to test and validate our ThermoLoop technology before committing to full-scale commercial production. It will act as a bridge between NewHydrogen 's Engineering Test Unit and gigawatt-scale clean hydrogen production.
