California American Water Supports Cal Fire Response to Timber Fire

Water system resources assist firefighting crews 

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- California American Water is supporting Cal Fire's response to the Timber Fire by providing key water system resources to firefighting crews working to protect communities, property, and natural resources throughout the region.

The company is making hydrants available to fill water trucks, support dust abatement efforts at helicopter bases, and supply water used in the mixing of fire retardant.
