Curated by Carlos Nazario and hosted by Jenna Lyons, the experience brings decades of American fashion history to life and gives collectors the chance to bid on pieces from the Archive NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- To mark the beginning of New York Fashion Week, eBay is unveiling Endless Runway: The Archive, a one-night retrospective celebrating the designers, garments, and defining moments that have shaped four decades of NYFW and American fashion history at large.
Building on eBay's global Endless Runway initiative and in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Endless Runway: The Archive brings American fashion history to life through an immersive, storytelling-led exhibition featuring more than 150 rare and archival pieces by American designers, sourced from eBay, alongside pieces contributed by some of fashion's most celebrated American designers and fashion houses. At the center of the experience is an eBay Live auction, hosted by fashion authority Jenna Lyons. Streamed live from the exhibition, the auction will feature designs contributed directly from the archives of Calvin Klein Collection, DVF, Michael Kors Collection, Proenza Schouler, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, Willy Chavarria and more. Giving fashion enthusiasts and collectors the opportunity to experience, discover and bid on pieces of American fashion history in real time, eBay Live participants will hear from industry voices on the cultural significance behind each piece as they are auctioned. Curated by acclaimed editor and stylist Carlos Nazario, Endless Runway: The Archive explores defining chapters of American fashion design, from the glamour and liberation of the 1970s and the rise of American sportswear to '90s minimalism and grunge, the global influence of American designers at European houses, and the voices shaping New York fashion today. Additional exhibition highlights sourced from eBay include archival pieces by Anna Sui, Bob Mackie, Donna Karan, Halston, Isaac Mizrahi, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Todd Oldham, Tom Ford, Virgil Abloh and more. eBay has connected shoppers with incredible fashion since the launch of the marketplace. Today, that access is helping a new generation discover the designers and pieces that shaped fashion history. With an unparalleled selection of pre-loved fashion and trusted services like eBay Authenticity Guarantee, the marketplace gives coveted designer pieces the opportunity to be discovered, collected and worn again. Endless Runway: The Archive brings that legacy to life, celebrating the enduring influence of American fashion. In addition to special contributions from designers, all pieces featured in the exhibition were sourced from eBay and styled by eBay's Resident Stylist Brie Welch, with proceeds from the eBay Live auction benefiting the CFDA. Michael Kors, Fashion Designer: "I love the crystal-encrusted slip dress that was worn in my 40th anniversary show by Bella Hadid. It's super glamorous but also streamlined, seasonless and timeless. This dress was first shown for Resort 1990 and has since been worn by everyone from Madonna to Sabrina Carpenter. I think it looks every bit as glamorous 35 years later." About eBay
