Large wildfire south of Paris may have been deliberately set, says France’s interior minister

France’s Interior Minister, Laurent Nunez, has stated that a large wildfire burning south of Paris may have been started deliberately. The fire, located in the Fontainebleau forest, covers roughly eight square kilometers and has forced the closure of a nearby highway in both directions. Two firefighting Canadair planes have been redeployed from the country’s south to help tackle the blaze.
