FBI New York Offering Reward in Cold Case Homicide
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Nancy Smith.
Smith, aged 32 at the time of her death, was discovered deceased in her residence in New Windsor, New York, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on December 5, 2001. She had multiple stab wounds to her body. Smith was discovered by family members after several attempts to contact her went unanswered. The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in providing information regarding the death of Smith.
The FBI's New York Field Office is investigating the case along with the New York State Police and the New Windsor Police Department. These agencies are dedicated to exploring every investigative avenue, including advanced DNA and forensic techniques, to bring closure to the family of Nancy S. Smith.
