FBI Cincinnati Highlights 2025 Accomplishments in Protecting Communities and Reducing Crime
December 30, 2025 - FBI Cincinnati on December 30 released a summary of key accomplishments highlighting the FBI’s efforts to protect communities and reduce crime in central and southern Ohio.
“The agents, analysts, and professional staff of FBI Cincinnati strive each day to protect the American people and have a positive impact on our community,” stated FBI Cincinnati Special Agent in Charge Jason Cromartie. “Working closely with our law enforcement partners, we have arrested violent criminals, protected against acts of terrorism, rescued minor victims, protected civil rights, investigated sophisticated cyberattacks, and combated complex financial fraud.”
During 2025, FBI Cincinnati made over 950 arrests, served more than 550 search warrants, recovered 270 illegal weapons, located 37 children, and participated in 190 drug seizures. These efforts resulted in over 160 convictions and 162 criminal sentencings.
FBI Cincinnati’s area of responsibility is composed of the lower 48 counties in central and southern Ohio. Significant investigative successes this year included:
- Federal grand jury indictments of 29 defendants for drug trafficking and/or money laundering conspiracy related to fentanyl adulterants and other deadly substances shipped from China
- The disruption of the Jerome Mitchell drug trafficking organization by arresting six subjects and executing nine federal search warrants across multiple states
- The arrest of Ronald Lidderdale, who allegedly sent 65 threatening letters and emails to 34 victims, including many public officials, the media, and law enforcement
- The indictment of Terry Hill, who allegedly orchestrated a fraud scheme against Medicare and Medicaid in excess of $7 million
- The identification and arrest of Scott Hanna, who allegedly posted on social media that he was planning to conduct mass violence targeting people in Cincinnati
- The sentencing of David Stopar to 60 years in prison for sexually assaulting seven minor victims, most of whom were in foster care at the time
