Violent Fugitive Facing Charges in Indianapolis Captured in Texas
February 13, 2026 - A 37-year-old male wanted in Indianapolis for crimes against children fled the state of Indiana and was captured in Texas. The fugitive was arrested on February 4 at a Motel 6 in south San Antonio, Texas. The motel is located adjacent to a bus line that provides transportation to Mexico.
The arrest was part of "Operation No Escape," an FBI-led, multi-agency initiative focused on locating and apprehending violent fugitives, regardless of where they are wanted or where they attempt to flee.
FBI Indianapolis, working alongside the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, developed investigative leads that placed the fugitive in Texas on February 4. FBI Indianapolis alerted FBI San Antonio and provided critical intelligence of the fugitive’s possible presence in the area.
The FBI San Antonio’s Safe Streets Task Force mobilized more than 100 law enforcement personnel across Texas quickly as the fugitive traveled south from North Texas to South Texas. This operation would not have been possible without the critical support and collaboration of the Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Marshals Service, Texarkana Texas Police Department, San Antonio Police Department, New Braunfels Police Department, Texas Department of Criminal Justice — Office of Inspector General Fugitive Operations, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE-ERO).
The coordinated multi-agency effort ultimately led investigators to arrest the fugitive at the Motel 6 in south San Antonio. He was taken into custody without incident. A search of the fugitives belongings revealed two loaded pistol magazines, a cellphone, an electronic tablet, zip ties, a knife, a ski mask, lotion, narcotics, a camera remote, a Mexican passport, and both U.S. and Mexican currency, among other items.
The fugitive was booked into the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio on February 4 on his outstanding warrant in Indiana and a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement immigration detainer.
