Federal Jury Finds Former Soldier Guilty of 9 Counts Related to Sexual Abuse of 2 Minors
WACO, Texas / Friday, October 2, 2026 – A federal jury in Waco convicted a former U.S. Army Soldier on nine counts related to the sexual abuse and exploitation of two minor victims, announced U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons for the Western District of Texas.
According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Jordan Anthony Pearce, 30, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, began sexually abusing a minor female at his Fort Hood residence when the minor was 11 years old. The victim reported the abuse to a friend and later school and law enforcement officials. In April 2023, the victim spoke to a forensic interviewer at the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) in Bell County and stated that Pearce told her she would not be believed if she told anyone about the abuse.
Shortly after the first reports, a second minor female was taken to the CAC, where she also detailed how she had been sexually abused by Pearce at his residence and other locations when she was between the ages of 13 and 16 years old. A search of the second victim’s cell phone revealed text messages between Pearce and the minor along with a sexually explicit video Pearce had requested from the child victim.
Pearce was indicted on April 8, 2025, and arrested on May 30, 2025. A second superseding indictment charged Pearce with ten counts which included abusive sexual contact, transportation of a minor, sexual abuse of a minor, production of child pornography, distribution of visual depictions of sexual activities by a minor, and enticement of a minor. On Wednesday, a federal jury found Pearce guilty on all charges except for transportation of a minor.
The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mary Kucera and Mark Frazier are prosecuting the case. Donna Myrdahl, Brenda Wright and Marci’a Wilson provided valuable assistance with litigation support and trial preparation.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
